A Little About Me, The Bladesmith

My name is Dennis Bruner I live in Northeast Texas near the three states area where the Texas, Arkansas & Louisiana lines meet

I have been bladesmithing around 4 years learning the art from friends and others involved in this art form. Raised in west Texas working cattle & raising horses I can remember being fascinated with blacksmiths and knives. I have always had and carried knives collecting and using. So when I found a way to combine the two I went for it.

I call my forge the EDGE of TEXAS FORGE - BRUNER KNIVES

I forge all my blades from 5160, 1084, railroad spikes & L6 I still stock remove few utility knives. I like to use native materials from this area and other parts of Texas for the handles when I can. Copper & Nickel silver for my guards and spacers, I flat grind my blades and I am still learning different styles.

So the design of my website and blog is to show the blades I have made. I will show finished knives for sale and knives in the process of being made.

Until We Meet Again,
